TECHNICS is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated events of 2023 – the DMC WORLD DJ FINAL and the DMC BATTLE FOR WORLD SUPREMACY!
Hot off the press is that for the first ever time, the World’s longest running, most legendary, most prestigious DJ battle will take place in San Francisco at The Midway in California, on Friday November 3rd 2023, and home to some of the most legendary turntablists on the planet!
National DMC Champions from across the globe will compete for the most coveted DJ title in the world under the gaze of the Golden Gate Bridge. Defending their world titles K-Swizz (New Zealand) vs Dj Topic (France). Only six minutes separates each of these competitors from immortality, one of them following in the famous footsteps of the likes of Craze, A-Trak, DJ Cash Money, DJ Kentaro, DJ David, DJ Noize, DJ Fly, the late Grandmaster Roc Raida and many others.
Headlining the night will be Mix Master Mike who won two DMC World titles as part of the Rock Steady DJs and The Dream Team. His work with The Beastie Boys needs no introduction, a true legend of the music scene who will be honoured on the night with the DMC Lifetime Achievement Award.
Also appearing will be heavyweight Hip Hop superstars Dilated Peoples: DJ Babu, Evidence and Rakaa plus the most legendary Scratch DJ crew: Invisbl Skratch Piklz feat. Shortkut, DJ Qbert and D-Styles – creating one of the biggest West Coast line-ups of 2023.
Considered one of the pioneers of Electronic Trap, UZ is none other than 2x DMC France Champ: DJ Troubl! We look forward to his set as well as performances from DMC World Champion: Kentaro from Japan and UK’s Prime Cuts of the legendary Scratch Perverts Crew the UK’s first ever DMC World Team Champions!
