Originally released in 2002, The High Exhaulted introduced Columbus, Ohio MC Copywrite as one of indie hip-hop’s premier punchline lyricists. Released during the golden era of the underground movement, the album remains a cornerstone of the Eastern Conference Records catalog, showcasing the razor-sharp wordplay and uncompromising lyricism that helped define the early 2000s independent rap scene.
Nearly a quarter-century later, Coalmine Records, in partnership with Get On Down, is bringing this underground classic back to wax with a deluxe reissue featuring production from Camu Tao, Mighty Mi, and RJD2.
The centerpiece of the release is the stunning “Cardinal Swirl” colored 2xLP vinyl, a striking pressing that perfectly complements the album’s iconic artwork and collector appeal.
For serious collectors, the limited edition package includes a wraparound OBI strip and a hand-numbered, autographed hype sticker, with only 100 copies produced. Fans who miss out on the signed edition can still grab the standard “Cardinal Swirl” pressing while supplies last.
In addition to the vinyl release, limited-edition CDs and cassettes are also available. At press time, the vinyl LPs and cassette editions are currently shipping, while the CD version is expected to arrive in mid-April.
