Peace ‘Jae The Lyoness’ where you from?

Hey what’s up! Well, I was born in D.C, then moved to Gaithersburg MD where I graduated from high school, and moved to Baltimore MD where I’ve been ever since.

How long have you been making music?

I have been making music professionally since the age of 19. I’ve been writing and singing since the age of 7.

What was your very first memory of the culture?

My first memory of the culture was watching the video to “Brenda’s Got A Baby” by my father Tupac lol. I thought wow! This hits my heart and I was 1 years old when it came out but I remember watching the video in elementary.

I was like 9. I call him my father because he taught me a lot through his music. I was raised on it. My mom is a SUPER fan. In the world of hip hop, Tupac is my Father, Lauryn Hill is my mother, Cole and Kendrick are my brothers, and Rapsody is my sister. I’ve learned a lot from them.

Any music projects we should know about?

Yes, I recently just dropped an Ep titled “Evolve”. It has 8 tracks. Each track shows how I have evolved into the spiritual being that I am but it also tells the stories of my peers and different scenarios of life. “Evolve” is power, it is healing, it is smooth but rough around the edges, it is perfectly imperfect.

Every verse is bar heavy but truthful. It is poetic. This is definitely something people need to hear. Guaranteed elevation to a positive place. It’s available for download and streaming on all major platforms.
