The underground scene is defined by consistency and craft, and few projects capture this better than Κ12α “Remains Raw”. Our blog has been tracking Κ12α’s movement for a few years. From his contributions to the Break Addicts Label’s “I Got Flava For Dayz” to the gritty energy of the “Classic” single off the Grimy Madafuckaz soundtrack, Κ12α has remained authentic hip-hop.
Today, we are proud to feature his latest full-length vision “Remains Raw” on vinyl. True to its title, “Remains Raw” is a 10-track ride through some hard hitting boom-bap. While many modern producers bend to a set of popular formulas, Κ12α stays true to the foundation.
The project is characterized by gritty, neck-snapping percussion and atmospheric sampling, elevated by precision scratch work from a lineup of featured DJs. It is a dope cohesive project that serves as a treat for those heads who love digging in the crates” for authentic 90s-inspired sound. What makes Κ12α a standout producer and hip hop head in our coverage is his dedication to the complete culture of hip-hop.
Check out his past work on the Grimy Madafuckaz soundtrack. With this new release, that potential has matured into a signature style. This collection of beats is a curated experience that honors the DJ/Producer relationship a part of the culture often lost in the streaming era but preserved here.
At MRCNNlive.com, we have always push the preservation of hip-hop on physical media. Remains Raw has been treated to a premium physical vinyl release, a must-have for collectors who value the tangible experience of underground music.
The artwork alone featuring a striking contrast between the minimalist front cover and the stylized, style-writing influenced back track-list by RG56 (The Rhymedalz Crew),
makes this a standout addition to any crate and a perfect follow-up to his previous work.
