Namir Blade – ‘The Holy Mountain’

The Fool, The Five Swords and The Alchemist travel the path of transformation to the Lotus Island and then climb the Holy Mountain seeking immortality in the surreal 1973 Mexican film by Alejandro Jororwsky that served as inspiration for Namir Blade’s newest song and visual.

Namir meditates through his verses like a high priest on a Tibetan mountain top reminding us to “Say grace, split cake and we say amen. Build shit, big bricks king solomon. Deeply rooted in the spot I’m in.” The spiritual gospel blends seamlessly throughout the song with street wisdom dancing between enlightened and comedic, heartfelt and tongue in cheek.
