Meet Chup The Producer he’s worked with dope emcees like Benny, Eto, Crimeapple, and Estee Nack. Today he share his motivations passions, new projects and what he’s up to when not in the lab please share.

Peace Chup where’s home?

Rochester, Ny is where I’m from.

How long have you been producing beats?

I’ve been producing since I was 13 so about 14 years.

How do you discover new sounds??

Digging ALWAYS digging for new sounds whether its records, online, TV, movies everything can be inspiration. If its hot.

Are you signed to a label? Do you think its better to not sign with all the independent formats we have for distrubution?

Im not signed to a label. I mean it could be beneficial to be on a label for sure but you can do alot on your own these days, labels wanna see ya work ethics anyway so you gotta start on ya own invest in yourself.

You’ve produced for a alot of well know rappers which song got your name out there??

Would probably have to say Lloyd Banks “Major League”.. started everything then Rigz dropped “Action” ft. Sheek Louch. Then Came 38 & Benny “Drivers Seat” ft. Jadakiss & Styles and of course Benny With “India”.

Tell us about “Roach Gutta Slums” how did that come about?

“Roach Gutta Slums” is some shit Me & Rigz thought of years ago and it just explains what it’s like coming from the slums from being broke needing that come up, to crackheads in ya neighborhood to having roaches in ya crib alot of hood shit you can relate to if you’ve lived In it.

How did you meet Rigz??

I Met Rigz from word of mouth. He heard of me from Eto, and he was an artist I never heard before and he had that classic Rochester sound that I Love. I say I was about 19 and it’s been nothing but love since.

What artist would we be surprised to find on your personal playlist?

I kinda stick To my roots with music, classic shit & I Fuck with Action Bronson heavy (prolly my favorite rapper in the past couple years) If I had to say it would be like Lil Uzi & Playboi Carti I like there beats alot hahahaha.

Favorite netfix show?

This joint called “Dark” I Like the story line on that but Hulu got this one called “Castle Rock” I’m waitin for new seasons for both those.

What’s the last thing you purchased online?

A vintage all over print Garfield shirt From 1991.
