Peace Nayla where’s home?

Bixby Knolls, Ca..

What would you call your style or type of rap?

My style I would say is a mix between loosely rhymed spoken word and 90’s flow.

How long you been rapping?

Since High School and that was a long time ago.. I would say like 2010-2012 sometime between there. There was this talent show going on and it was nothing but guys in it. And the whole time I’m sitting there like no girls have any talent? So I decided I’d have a rap battle with one of my classmates that week. I went home and googled how to rap and everything I could find about it until i had something written. Then my after school my friends and I would go to a park and spit my rhymes from that week. They were hilariously awful.

How do you find your beats? Do you produce??

I have an idea of what I want usually for a song like what I want it to sound like. So I go looking for that. I used to get on YouTube to find my beats but that doesn’t work when you want to release on Apple. My friend and brother and partner in crime (@biggshmezz) produces so when he has some fire he thinks I’ll sound good on I’m all on it. I use traktrain primarily. I produce here and there. I made “Dial”.

What do you want people to take away from your music?

I’d love for people to take the stories and ideas I wrote about and feel inspired to make something or to do something. I’d love for them to know there are female rappers not selling sex.

Last song you had on repeat?

Goyard Bag X Fabolous!

Favorite Netflix show?

Ozark and On My Block. You won’t be disappointed.

Do you feel like getting on the blogs or radio play is fair or do you feel like you have to fit a certain mode to get on being female?

I feel like I have to fit a certain mold. I get a lot of emails from blogs and radio shows unsure of where to place me. I think it’s crazy that because I’m not talking about getting ratchet on the same 808 pattern that I can’t get no play. I also understand I’m a new artist and I haven’t released music in a while. Maybe that’s a factor.

Favorite thing to do when not in the lab?

Blowing hookah, bowling and going to new places for food.

Last words or shout outs??

Shout out to my bro we got some shit on the way.
