Substantial – “A Requiem for All Black Lives”

A Requiem for All Black Lives featuring percussionist, Malcolm Jackson, is a haunting, somber tribute to the countless Black lives lost to police brutality. Substantial takes his Lo-Fi sound to a darker place, capturing his pain, the weight of this current moment in history, and his country’s brutal past. As the final note fades, cracking vinyl transforms into burning embers, symbolizing the rise of the phoenix.
