The Foundation album delivers hip-hop legends rhyming over world class beats

Finally, there’s an album that showcases a collection of legendary MCs from around the country, doing what they do best.

For the first time ever, these MCs have assembled to present a collection of top-quality songs, with the dopest rhymes over classic boom-bap beats.

The album, entitled, The Foundation gives hip-hop heads everything they want from some of their favorite MCs; Esham, J.O., 40XL, Kool Keith, Raw Breed, Sadat X, Smooth tha Hustla, Tash (from the Alkaholiks), Trigger da Gambler, Ultramagnetic MCs and Ice T, just to name a few!

The Foundation will be released by the Legends Recordings Group and distributed by Sony Orchard. The album will introduce an entire generation of music lovers to these artists and remind fans why these MCs are everyone’s favorites.

Each song is the perfect combination of mic skills coupled with fat, bass lines, as each person shows up and shows out all over the tracks! A project born from the desire to hear rap music that matters, like back in the day, but presented in contemporary songs that sound incredibly, fresh.

The Foundation reminds faithful fans just why they fell in love with hip hop in the first place.

This groundbreaking compilation album is scheduled for release on July 12th, 2019. Tash has the first single “Splash”. A feel good, upbeat, joint peppered with snappy couplets and Tash’s infectious, comedic, rhyme touches. The new video for “Splash” will drop on the single’s release date, June 28th, 2019.

The Godfather of west coast hip-hop and a true OG, Ice T’s contribution to the album is “Feds In My Rearview,” his first, new record in a decade! Well worth the wait, Ice T’s distinctive voice and picturesque lyrics breathe life into this hard, hitting track.

The epic video for “Feds In My Rearview” drops July 12, 2019 at midnight the same time The Foundation album will be released. There’s also a slew of other stand out cuts, on this album filled with an all-star lineup of guest MCs as well, King T, Glasses Malone, LA Breed, and Young Ham.

Seamlessly blending a collection of stand out hits the goal of The Foundation is to allow these MCs to shine and be given their proper respect as true rap legends, trend setters and influencers in the current musical landscape.
