Peace Frisco Boogie where’s home?

I was born and live in Nottingham City in the UK, I’ve lived in a few other places, but always returned here I guess it’s home.

Out of your catalog do you have a favorite song that always moves the crowd?

I haven’t performed any of the new material yet, however on the new album C.I.R.C.U.S ‘100’ is a straight boom bap banger which is the one I would be letting loose on the crowd. The beat is a pure neck snapper.

What’s the hip-hop scene like in your area?

The scene has a lot of artists spread out. In some city’s they all know each other or know of each other, but Nottingham has so many that would be hard to do. We have a lot of Drill artists coming up, but still a large number of old heads making music and keeping the torch a light for the real hip hop heads.

The graffiti scene is bright with a lot of writers actively writing a lot. I get out now and then to hit up the odd wall, I have been concentrating on music recently so not been painting as much as I would like to.

Have you ever performed at the famous Jamaican sound systems there?

No, I haven’t.. I have performed in many places, I think my favorite would have been back in the day when I performed on stage with MC supernatural going back to back trading bars. Great times!!

Favorite place to listen to see hip hop in your city?

There aren’t many places anymore. There are a few bars that host the odd hip hop night, but nothing on a regular weekly basses. It is one thing I miss going to a club and hearing real hip hop music blaring out of the speakers.

I do like to travel and visit jams in other places. My favorite would be the Notorious IBE festival in Heerlen. It’s a 3 day event that hosts all the elements of hip hop and featuring some of the best B-Boys crews in the world.

Who are some of the other dope emcees in your area?

Vandal savage, j littles, Juga-Naut , Jah digga, Local Healers, Are constantly putting music out . Then we have the legends MR 45, Lee Ramsey, Scorz, Towa, Cappo, there’s too many to mention. Nottingham has always had fire MC’s!!

Is there any dream artist you’d like to collab with?

So many, but if I have to pick it would be Nas/Premo or Kano from the UK, but I could list a million that I would love to work with. It’s all about fitting styles together and making music that works, that’s the most important the ‘The music’.

Name One strange thing about your city they do that no other city does lol?

No, I can’t really…
