Today for this wake and bake we are trying a new strain I haven’t tried before from a new place.
For this review we are going to be trying something from Cake & Caviar. The strain that we are going to be reviewing is their Waffle Bites flower.
I have never tried this strain before but I heard it was good so I wanted to see for myself what it could do. All of the cannabis for Cake & Caviar is grown in the Shuswap region of British Columbia using water rich in nutrients.
This is from using Habitat’s aquaponics technology and system. They believe in creating a product that is not only just good for you but also the surrounding environment.
They take water, nutrients and CO₂ from farming certified organic Coho salmon and reusing as inputs for their cannabis plants.
Waffle Bites is a sativa-dominate hybrid strain from crossing Cake and Sour OG together.
This strain is known for having very interesting aromas and flavours such as baked goods and syrup. This batch of Waffle Bites is 28.7% THC, less than 1% CBD, 1-3% CBG and 3-3.5% terpenes. The dominate terpene profiles are Myrcene (1.15%), Farnesene (0.49%), Caryophyllene (0.29%) and Linalool (0.02%).
The package the HQ (Half Quarter/3.5 grams) Waffle Bites came in was very easy to open and close. When you opened it you were greeted with a very interesting aroma.
This does have a smell of baked goods which is pretty crazy. The buds themselves were pretty big as there was only two but they did look amazing. Light green with orange hairs and that glitter you can when buds are covered in trichomes.
This flower was very easy to break up in a grinder which gave off even more aroma from the broken buds and was easy to roll into a blunt.
Now I was ready to smoke as I was really looking forward to trying this strain ever since I saw it.
This was a slow burning blunt that burned for 30 minutes or so. There was a bit of a kick with each puff you took and white ash as it kept burning.
The flavour was amazing and really did have a syrup taste while smoking. I really wish the blunt didn’t end as the flavour was that amazing while smoking.
The high was pretty mild and not overwhelming at all but you could feel it for sure and function. The high did last for a while after smoking and for sure made me hungry and feeling great.
My overall view of the Waffle Bites by Cake & Caviar is that this is an amazing day time weed that I would want to smoke more of.
You can function but also get to smoke weed that will get you high and that has an amazing flavour… this really is a no brainer and a winner for sure.
I would highly recommend for people with both low and high tolerances to try this out for yourself and see what it can do for you and your cannabis needs.
I know I for sure want to get more Waffle bites in the near future when I see it next online or at an in person dispensary.
