Today, we’re tapping into another offering from the familiar territory of Growtown, just outside Toronto. Over the course of several reviews, Growtown has consistently delivered quality products that have left me impressed.

So, when news of their latest drop, the Orange Cream Octane, hit my radar, I couldn’t resist giving it a try. This strain was grown by friends of Growtown for a store in Saskatchewan under their house brand Fu-el.

I have tried something from Fu-el before from Growtown I just can’t remember what it was as it was a little while ago when i did.

Even though they call this strain Orange Cream Octane it seems to really be the strain Mandarin Cookies. This strain was first bred by Ethos Genetics who are from the US located in Colorado.

Mandarin Cookies is a sativa-dominate hybrid strain from crossing the strains Forum Cut Cookies and Mandarin Sunset together. I have tried this strain a few times before so it will be interesting to see how this one is.

This batch of Orange Cream Octane is 25.1% THC, less than 1% CBD, 0.02% CBG and no information about the terpene profiles. The HO (Half Ounce/14 grams) came in a plastic jar that was easy to pen and close when needed.

Once it was opened you were greeted with a very nice diesel aroma from the flower inside which was very pleasant. The buds were very dense for a sativa strain but they did look very nice and you could see that they did have a lot of trichomes on the buds.

This strain was very easy to break up in a grinder and roll into a blunt. After I was done rolling I was ready to see what this strain was going to be like. My homie came over so we chatted for a bit while smoking. This strain did have a nice flavour profile to it on the exhale which was really nice.

The blunt did burn with a nice white ash and wasn’t too harsh while smoking which was good as this blunt did burn for a while. While smoking I could start feeling the high. The high was pretty chill and wasn’t overwhelming for a sativa strain.

The high was more uplifting where you could get things done which was good as I was getting ready to make a batch spicy pizza sauce which will take a few hours to do. My overall view of the Orange Cream Octane by Growtown is I did enjoy this strain as I thought the high was great for during the day time.

Fu-el Cannabis did a great job on this and I’m glad Growtown was able to share it with us. Even though this strain didn’t get me crazy high like other sativa strains have before it was very enjoyable and something I would buy again for during the day.

You can’t go wrong with this as 14 grams was just under $57 CAD with taxes and shipping included. I was pretty happy as I usually am when I try things from Growtown as they do have a very interesting line up available for medical users.

I look forward to trying more from them in the future so make sure to check them out if you can online or at your local dispensaries.
