Sasha Renee is makin moves, the talented Louisville rapper will be releasing her second EP along with her upcoming “Flava” tour in May. We connected in this interview to find out what motivates her, her favorite artists and much more.

With so much go music what should folks check out of yours first?

Depends on what they like. My music is very versatile. If I had to choose though I would say “Fire”. I think all hip-hop music fans would appreciate it.

Your favorite classic hip hop song(s) or artist(s)?

Nas – Ether without a doubt.

Summer Walker – Grave

Are you signed to a label?

No, I’m independent but I do have a manager and a team of dedicated play makers.

Do you do your own PR or do you have a team?

I have a team but I am actually the PR on the team for the most part! I’m a pretty good writer and I’ve done a lot of research over the years. I write a review of my own music every time I release it and send it out to blogs for media coverage. I also created my website and my EPK.

Tours or show coming up??

Yes, we will be releasing details on the FLAVA tour in early May. We’re going to hit at least 8 cities!

What do you hope people take from your music?

I want people to feel good. I want them to be empowered, inspired, and motivated.

Where do you see yourself in five years with this music?

At the height of my career, traveling the world performing abroad and being nominated for a Grammy for album of the year.

Some good books you read lately?

I haven’t sat down and read a book in forever. Soon come.

If you could grab only one thing during a Martian invasion what would it be??

Something to protect myself with. Idk what they about to be on. Lol.

My second EP FLAVA is on the way! Shout out to all my fans and supporters. Salute to the producer Wopsworld who did the whole project and my engineer who mixed and mastered everything. I hope y’all love it as much as me and my team do. It’s definitely a new wave for me.
